Up
Close
Up is a nonprofit organization that provides students
with a close up look at Washington, D.C. and our government.
Each
year one of the social studies faculty members escorts
a group of students to Washington during the Spring.
Students get to see historic sites and interact with
Washington insiders.
The
students come away from this experience with a realistic
view of how our government works. They begin to understand
its limits and flexibility.
Close Up is actively seeking new members for the 2002-03
school year. Incoming freshman are especially encouraged
to become a part of Skyline's look at the United States
Government.
