Choral
Department Concert Choir
The
Concert Choir, a mixed choir of 50 members, is one
of four performing ensembles within the Skyline High
School Choral Department. Enrollment is by audition,
and open to 9-12 graders. Each choir is year-long
course. All choirs compete at festivals and state
competitions, and are active in the community.
Choral concerts this year have been extremely well
attended and well-received, with standing ovations
and many positive comments from parents, staff, and
the community. The department presents four choral
concerts a year.
This
year on April 11, three ensembles, Falconnaires, Allegro
Singers and Concert Choir participated in the CHSAA
Large Group Festival. The Concert Choir received a
cumulative Excellent (II) rating, and a Superior (I)
on sight-reading. The participation of these choirs
was a first for Skyline.
