Patty holds a BS in Physical Education from University of Texas at El Paso. She played Division I college Volleyball for 4 years at UTEP. She holds a Masters in Education Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado. Patty taught Physical Education and Health along with coaching volleyball at the high school level for 12 years. From 2001, she has held the administrative positions of Athletic Director at Thompson Valley High School, Assistant Principal at Longmont High School and at Skyline High School. She took over the principalship in 2008. Patty has undertaken a new direction for Skyline implementing two academies: one being a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math ) and the other a VPA ( visual performing arts ) focus. The new academies began accepting students in the fall of 2009.

   

Lulu Buck, Dean of Students

Lulu holds a BS in Spanish and is endorsed in ESL with Secondary Education from the University of Northern Colorado.  She received her Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.  She started teaching English and World Cultures at Fredrick Middle School and 10 years teaching high school Spanish at Silver Creek High School and Mountain View High School in Loveland.  She was awarded Teacher of the Year through the Colorado Congress for Foreign Language Teachers (CCFLT) in 2009.  She has over 13 years experience coaching boys and girl’s tennis.  She coached at the  University of Northern Colorado, Silver Creek and Mountain View.  She holds a professional license in tennis through the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).  She was awarded Coach of the Year for girl’s tennis in 2003 and Coach of the Year for boy’s tennis for 2009.

   

Michael Green, Asst. Principal and Athletic Director

Michael holds a BA in Physical education from the University of Northern Colorado.  He holds a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado.  Michael has taught Physical Education, Health and Strength Training for 19 years at the high school level. He has over 20 years of coaching experience in Basketball, Football, and Track as a Head Coach.  In addition to his coaching and teaching career, Michael has been an Athletic Director for the past 10 years.
In 2007, he took an administrative position at Rifle High as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director.  He takes over at Skyline High School in the same capacity and is eager to lead the athletic department in a new direction with a vision for future success both on and off the field of competition.

   

Heidi Ringer, Asst. Principal, STEM & VPA Director

Heidi Ringer holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an M.A. in Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Colorado at Denver.  Heidi taught mathematics at Skyline High School for 10 years and was the mathematics co-department chair for five of those years.  She was the recipient of the Presidential Award in Mathematics and Science Teaching in 2006.  After accepting the job as an assistant principal in 2007, she has coordinated the implementation of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and VPA (Visual & Performing Arts) Academies which began in the fall of 2009.
