The Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Skyline High School is the only 9-12 arts academy in the St. Vrain Valley School District. As the designated VPA school, Skyline is able to offer a wide variety of courses in the visual arts, theater, dance, choir and instrumental music. Some of these unique course offerings include Voice Performance class, Stage Technology, advanced Dance and Drama courses, AP and non-AP music Theory, Digital Animation, and Video Production.

In addition to these unique course offerings, students in the academy are given additional unique opportunities such as working with practicing artists, attending special VPA field trips, collaborating with local artists in local job shadow and internship opportunities and creating a senior design project specific to their focus area.
